"Heavy rock that is equal parts Strength, Volume, and Mojo with just a touch of Evil - thick in a resurgence of old school, heavy rock without borders and devoid of image, trends and pop sensibilities."

THE STORY SO FAR....

2007, Des Moines Iowa. Vocalist/guitarist Nate Boyce and Bassist Josh Finch, and Guitarist Marco Johnston joined forces and founded  'I Am Enemy'; a no frills heavy rock band with a raw edge and a mean bite. 'I Am  Enemy' found a strong foot hold on the local scene and quickly became favorites as they killed stages all over the Midwest and the I-M-N-M-E fan base grew. As good as things were for the band, the frequently vacant drummer chair had seemed to create a revolving door for drummers. Growing stress and tensions from frequent lineup changes eventually took its toll when the drum chair remained vacant for months on end and guitarist Marco Johnston left the band for personal reasons. In true rock-n-roll fashion, Nate and Josh smashed the broken pieces, lit them on fire and pissed on the ashes. Out of those ashes, a phoenix would arise.

Armed with 2 albums worth of material, Strength, Determination and a die-hard merciless attitude, Nate and Josh once again set out to kick the heavy music scene right square in the balls, but knew it would take a big foot to do it up right. Hard-hitting drummer Budda Magrudda was recruited in the summer of 2010 to fill the drum chair and 'Blacked Out World' was born. A shortage of lead guitarists have forced the band to open fire as as a Heavy power trio, though the search for a shred god continues. As a 3 piece, the band has begun their assault on the heavy music scene with a vengeance, destroying stages and ear drums alike without mercy. The music is a no holds barred, ass-kicking, hard-driving, kick you in the balls, bang your head against the stage good time that will leave you begging for more.  The band's brutally honest lyrics deal with real life issues in a world that's going to shit.'Blacked Out World' churns out heavy rock that is equal parts Strength, Volume, and Mojo with just a touch of Evil - thick in a resurgence of old school, heavy rock without borders and devoid of image, trends and pop sensibilities.

One Full length album out, a second album  in the works and a national tour beginning Fall 2013, Blacked Out World are poised and ready to attack, unleashing their brand of Heavy Rock fury. Like true rock and roll renegades, Blacked Out World is blazing their own path to front of the pack with an eye on conquering the world.
